Key Responsibilities · Prepare detailed HVAC cost estimates for commercial and Public work contracts · Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents · Perform quantity take-offs for HVAC equipment, ductwork, piping, controls, and materials · Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing · Analyze labor, material, equipment, and overhead costs to ensure accurate proposals · Develop and submit competitive bids and proposals within required deadlines · Assist with value engineering and cost-saving recommendations · Support project managers during project handoff and execution · Maintain accurate estimating records and historical cost data · Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client discussions as needed Qualifications · 3 years of experience as an HVAC Estimator or in a similar estimating role · Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, components, and installation methods · Experience estimating commercial HVAC projects experience a plus · Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications · Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Excel · Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills · Excellent written and verbal communication skills · Valid driver’s license and ability to attend local site visits on Long Island Preferred Experience · Familiarity with Long Island and NYC building codes · Experience working with union and non-union labor environments · Knowledge of value engineering and cost analysis .
