Our firm is seeking a Permanent Hybrid Foreclosure & Collections Paralegal to join our dynamic team in New Jersey and New York . This role will focus on both foreclosure and collections, requiring a unique blend of skills. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of legal compliance, electronic filing systems, legal document preparation, and trial preparation. They will also be adept at using legal case management software and have a keen eye for document review. Responsibilities: As a Permanent Hybrid Foreclosure & Collections Paralegal, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: 1. Preparing and reviewing foreclosure letters and legal documents, including stipulation settlements and post-judgment enforcement notices. 2. Managing electronic filing systems and ensuring all documents are filed accurately and promptly. 3. Assisting with trial preparation, including gathering evidence, organizing files, and coordinating with legal teams. 4. Utilizing legal case management software to monitor cases, track deadlines, and maintain organized records. 5. Ensuring legal compliance in all actions, with a particular focus on the Fair Debt Collection Practice Act and the New Jersey Condominium Act. 6. Preparing affirmative defenses and other legal responses as necessary. 7. Generating writs of execution, wage garnishments, and other post-judgment enforcement actions. Qualifications: The successful candidate will have: 1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a paralegal, with at least 2 years of experience in foreclosure and collections. 2. Proficiency in electronic filing systems and legal document preparation. 3. Experience with trial preparation and document review. 4. Familiarity with legal case management software. 5. A thorough understanding of legal compliance, particularly in relation to the Fair Debt Collection Practice Act and the New Jersey Condominium Act. 6. Experience in preparing foreclosure letters, stipulation settlements, and post-judgment enforcement notices. 7. The ability to prepare affirmative defenses and other legal responses. 8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure.
