We are seeking a Regional Medical Director to utilize your leadership skills and expertise knowledge of medicine. Responsibilities: Leads and promotes collaboration across multiple fields and teams to achieve clinical and business outcomes. Develops and implements action plans to address gaps in financial performance and growth across service lines to achieve the annual business plan. Plans and carries out strategies as well as new clinical and business processes within the region. Manages clinical staffing and personnel costs. Manages and monitors key clinical metrics including efficiencies, cost per encounter, coding and documentation, and others, while understanding the relationship between these and financial outcomes. Cardiology opening in South CarolinaLocated in Conway, SCFull-Time & PermanentSeeking a BE/BC Cardiologist to join hospital due to increased patient need/demand. In 2020 - the hospital was transferring out 140 cases per year non-STEMI and 50-55 CABGs per year. They want to capture more of those cardiology cases. Full time position Monday through Friday, 5 days clinic time with .5-day admin time per week, 36 patient contact hours Call: 1:3 STEMI Call and 1:6 Cardiology Call General Practice Added a clinic at medical arts building/ASC 8.5 miles due south of main campus 2 cath lab operating at the hospital currently doing 500 cases/yr. No cardio thoracic surgery at hospital South Carolina does not require surgery coverage to do PCIs. Angioplasties and CT Surgeries go to MUSC or McLeod Stress tests and echoes are done in the clinic Nuc Med, Echo and Vascular testing on campus Since introducing PCI in August, they have done: 292 Diagnostic heart caths 106 Coronary Interventions 32 ICD's 43 Pacemakers Averaging these out, they are on pace to perform about 720 procedures a year not counting those procedures performed in the pre and post areas. These numbers do not include TEE's, Cardioversions, Tilt Table Tests or Loop Recorders. They average close to 10 patients referred to open heart every month and 2-3 STEMIs per week.Compensation/Benefits: Base Salary (Typically MGMA Median) Plus WRVU Bonuses Production Bonuses are available based on WRVU Calculated on an annual basis.
