The position involves floating between multiple sites, supervising CRNAs, and managing a variable daily case volume, with higher volumes at larger hospitals and lower volumes at smaller facilities. The patient population includes adults and geriatrics, and procedures are primarily bread-and-butter general anesthesia cases, including ENT, GYN, plastics, endoscopy, urology, orthopedics, vascular, neuro, thoracic, trauma, and OB (OB cases are limited to the main trauma center). Physicians must hold a state license, DEA, BLS, and ACLS certifications, with at least two years of experience. Orientation hours are billable, and a full monthly schedule is provided in advance, including night call and late-day assignments, though weekend call is not required.
