We are in search of a qualified Assistant Director of Nursing- ADON : Assists the Director of Nursing with management of the nursing department. Assists Director of Nursing in ensuring compliance with regulations for documentation from physicians and nursing personnel and ensuring that all regional policies/procedures are implemented. Make rounds daily to direct the work of employees and to observe for hazards, work duty problems, and ensure services are delivered to clients consistent with needs. Assists with Continuous Quality Improvement and corrective follow-up actions. Follows up daily on each unit to ensure changes in status are reported and recorded and that services are provided. Under the direction of the Director of Nursing, completes chart audits and reports results and progress, and makes recommendations for improvement to the Director of Nursing. Ensures proper infection control techniques are utilized. Maintains effective communication with families, residents and facility staff. Qualifications: Current R.N. license by State required with experience in the long term care or working with the geriatric population preferred. Must have at least three years nursing experience and one year supervisory experience. Clerical ability is necessary to read reports and utilize data accurately for other purposes. Skill in organizing and planning programs and managing personnel to provide nursing service for residents. Ability to plan and direct the department, coordinating with other departments. We're looking for Emergency Room RNs for an immediate travel nurse opening in Greensboro, NC. The right RN should have 1-2 years recent acute care experience. Read below for more requirements. As an ER Travel Nurse, you will work with a diverse team of caregivers to appropriately evaluate, triage and implement care using correct procedures and physician instructions. RNs should have experience and skill caring for patients in a fast-paced, urgent and emergency environment. Emergency Room RNs will perform minor medical operations, advise patients and family on illnesses or injuries, and plan long-term care needs. Other responsibilities as an ER Travel Nurse include documenting medical history, checking for any allergies patients might have, obtaining patient vital signs, and monitoring patients' emotional and physical well-being. As an ER Travel Nurse, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks: Provide basic bedside care. Clean and bandage wounds. Provide IV therapy. Maintain supplies and medical equipment. Report suspected abuse to appropriate agencies. ER Travel Nurses should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean and stoop without difficulty. RNs should be able to easily lift 20 pounds. Moving or lifting of patients may require lifting of up to 50 pounds at times. Because of the fast-paced environment, Emergency Room RNs must possess good skills for coping with stress and be able to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds.
