Key Responsibilities Service & Execution Provide exceptional, hospitality-driven service at the bar and throughout the dining room Execute cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages with consistency and precision Engage guests with strong knowledge of the beverage and food program, offering thoughtful recommendations Ensure all orders are entered and executed accurately and in a timely manner Bar Leadership Lead by example during service, setting the tone for professionalism, urgency, and hospitality Act as the point person for bartenders and barbacks during shifts Support team communication and maintain a positive, respectful work environment Uphold standards for service, presentation, and cleanliness Inventory & Bar Systems Conduct regular inventory counts of liquor, beer, and wine Create, maintain and adjust par levels to support service while minimizing waste Organize and update bar order guides for efficiency and consistency Assist in restocking and ensuring the bar is properly prepped for service Communicate inventory needs and discrepancies to management Training & Team Development Support onboarding and training of new bartenders and barbacks Reinforce cocktail recipes, technique, and service standards across the team Participate in ongoing education, including tastings and pre-shift meetings Help maintain consistency in execution across all shifts Beverage Program Support Maintain strong knowledge of all cocktail, wine, and beverage offerings Assist with seasonal menu updates, recipe testing, and creative input Ensure all beverages are prepared according to Maize standards, including proper glassware and garnishes Operations Support Assist with bar setup, breakdown, and daily prep Maintain cleanliness and organization across all bar areas Communicate operational needs or service issues to management in real time Qualifications 3 years bartending experience in a high-volume or craft cocktail environment Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, wine, and bar techniques Experience with inventory counts, pars, or ordering systems preferred Natural leadership ability with a team-first mindset Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays What We Offer Competitive hourly wage tips Growth opportunity into Bar Manager role Creative, collaborative work environment Be part of a growing, dynamic restaurant team How to Apply Please submit your resume along with a brief note about your experience and interest in joining the Maize team.
