Employment Type: Full time Shift: Day Shift Description: Full Time Day Shift 40 hours weekly Position Purpose: Responsible for coordinating the Employee Health Program (including workers compensation and medical disability) and collaboration with MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center as well as assuming responsibility for development, implementation and evaluation of a plan of care for patients receiving cardiac rehabilitation phase II services. Coordinates Cardiology Clinics and cardiac testing as well as assists with referrals for further testing and maintaining communication with physicians. What you will Do: Collaborates with MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in the development and implementation of policies and procedures governing employee health. Annually reviews department/organization policies and procedures to assure that MercyOne New Hampton Medical Center meets requirements of federal and state regulations. Maintains current knowledge base of trends, policies, regulatory standards (such as CDC and OSHA), and legislation and advises administration when pertinent. Continuously assesses and improves the department’s performance based on, but not limited to the department’s quality plan monitors, process improvement initiatives.
