How you'll make an impact in this role Ascension is looking for an APRN or PA, for a FT role, in our Pediatric Hematology/Oncology department for Dell Children's Medical Center. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to partner with Ascension to provide medical services to pediatric hematology/oncology patients in the hospital. Our ideal candidate will have hematology/oncology experience and is comfortable working both independently as well as being part of a multidisciplinary team. Position Schedule: Acute Care Certification - strongly preferred for NP's Occasional opportunity to pick up extra shifts Responsibilities: Obtains patient history and performs assessment via observation, interview and examination. Orders, performs and interprets diagnostic studies. Performs preventative health assessments, screening, immunizations and patient care. Provides direct treatment and management of health conditions via referral to other healthcare providers or community resources. Counsels and educates patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options and community resources. What minimum qualifications you'll need Licensure / Certification / Registration: Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
