Water Project Assistance: If a potential project is identified and the system is ready to move forward, the Water Specialist would: Assist project entity with identifying, selecting and managing professional firms to provide preliminary engineering, cost estimates, CEQA, regulatory compliance and completion of funding applications. Provide project entity with project management assistance (e.g., consultation, attend project meetings, review preliminary design report and iterations of plans and specifications, respond to regulatory and governmental entities, assist on project issues, be available to attend board and council meetings as needed, attend construction meetings, and assist with selection of contractor, construction manager and inspectors, represent project entity as directed).
