Direct management experience preferred but not required.Solutions-oriented individual, with ability to think strategically and develop analytical insightsExcellent communication abilities and refined business acumen, with the ability to influence key business stakeholdersStrong analytical skillset, including ability to work with multiple forms of data (business, financial, actuarial)Strong technical expertise in Excel. Proficiency with data coding languages such as SQL, R, Python preferred but not requiredStrong understanding of the P&C insurance market, including pricing, underwriting, and regulatory considerations.Proven ability to operate in a matrixed environment and influence without direct authority.Ability to develop immediate credibility in unfamiliar situations; including agency partners, regulators, senior leaders, and cross-functional project teamsExperience working directly with Field Sales and Underwriting teams is strongly preferred.This position may be filled on a remote or hybrid basis, depending on location and business needs.CompensationThe listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition.
