Supports obtaining or performs specimen collection for commonly performed blood, urine, and stool analyses and cultures. Interprets health information and establishes diagnoses consistent with the accumulated data and formulates treatment plan, ensuring timely provision of necessary health care services. Provides education and ensures understanding of members regarding the nature of the identified acute needs and further opportunities for evaluation and treatment. Participates in the supervision of mid-level providers, including Nurse Practitioners/Physician Assistants. Educates patients regarding health promotion and disease prevention. Promotes effective working relations and works effectively as part of a team to facilitate the ability to meet goals and objectives, around timely, efficient care and highly reliable customer service.
