Join Our Team as a Nocturnist in Troy, NY We are seeking full-time Nocturnists to join our employed hospitalist group at a well-established facility in Troy, New York. Job Responsibilities: Join an established, directly employed hospital medicine program. Participate in running rapids and codes, with ICU providers managing ICU care. 12-hour shifts from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am, working a 7 on/7 off schedule. Manage an average daily census of 15-18 patients per physician. Work collaboratively with Advanced Practice Providers (APPs). Recent graduates working towards Board Certification and experienced candidates are encouraged to apply. Note: Not open to Locum candidates or Visa Candidates. POSITION DESCRIPTION: The new otolaryngologist will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing ENT patients. This role requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to create individualized treatment plans and support patients and their families through each phase of care. Specific duties include, but are not limited to: - treat conditions of the ears, nose, and throat - examine, evaluate, and perform tests to determine degree of hearing loss - examine, evaluate, and perform tests to determine degree of speech loss - examine, evaluate, and perform tests to determine degree of injuries to the larynx - treat nosebleeds, tonsillectomies, adenoidectomies, infected mastoids, and sinusitis - assist patients with a limited or altered sense of smell - treat patients with tumors in the head or neck - treat patients with defects in the ear, nose, or throat - collaborate with other medical practitioners as needed The new otolaryngologist will see a variable number of patients per day, depending upon the types of appointments scheduled.
