What You ll Do As a Cardiology Veterinary Technician at Hickory Veterinary and Specialty Hospital, you will be an essential part of a team providing top-tier care for pets facing heart disease and cardiac conditions. Your responsibilities will include: Assisting with advanced cardiac diagnostics, including echocardiograms, ECGs, and radiographs Positioning, sedating, and monitoring patients during procedures Preparing patients for cardiology appointments, including reviewing and interpreting bloodwork, medical history, and diagnostics Administering and monitoring medications, ensuring safe and accurate patient care Communicating effectively and empathetically with clients during consultations, discharges, and follow-up updates Maintaining accurate patient records and supporting seamless case management Collaborating closely with board-certified cardiologists and fellow technicians to ensure comprehensive patient care Supporting other hospital teams as needed once Cardiology duties are complete, including assisting with anesthesia or emergency tasks when applicable We don t just get through the workday; we embrace the challenges and triumphs that come with providing advanced specialty care.
