Responsibilities Our Resident Engineering Inspection division has a need for on-site M-E Construction Inspector for a major NYSDOT Railroad Lift Span Bridge for specialized inspection of Mechanical - Electrical Systems and components Qualifications Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 5 years of construction inspection experience and specified knowledge of mechanical-electrical systems NICET, EIT, or PE preferred Understanding of detailed technical: construction plans, shop drawings and material submissions. Quality Control (QC) review/inspection related to installation of specialized activities related to Lift Bridge Systems. Inclusive of: Mechanical House, Operator House, Signal House, Bridge Lift Components, Elevators, Communications, Railroad Signals, Mechanical, Electrical, HVAC and Plumbing. Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex technical information. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage time to inspect multiple work crews. Ability to work independently, with a self-driven approach and commitment to providing exceptional service. OSHA 10 required.
