Minimum Qualifications: Degree: Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.). Education: Graduation from a medical school in the United States, Canada, or approved by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education of the American Medical Association (AMA), graduation from a college of osteopathy approved by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), or graduation from a medical school with evidence of Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) certification. Certification: The DoD only recognizes certifications issued by boards that are members of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) or the AOA Bureau of Osteopathic Specialists. Internship/Residency/Fellowship: Completion of an accredited residency approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). Experience: As required to meet clinical competency requirements specified in the credentialing instructions. Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice medicine. Core Duties: Perform a full range of physician services in accordance with privileges granted by the MTF. Direct, perform, or assist in the instruction of other health care professionals within the scope of clinical privileges or responsibilities. Examine, diagnose, treat or prescribe courses of treatment within the scope of training, experience, and privileges. Provide preventive and health maintenance care, including annual physicals, positive health behaviors, and self-care skills through education and counseling. Order diagnostic tests as applicable as well as request consultation or referral with appropriate physicians, clinics, or other health resources as indicated. Mohs Micrographic Surgeon / Dermatologist (MD/DO) Position Summary The Mohs Dermatologist provides specialized medical and surgical care for patients with skin cancer, with a primary focus on Mohs micrographic surgery. This role includes the diagnosis, treatment, and reconstruction of cutaneous malignancies, delivering precise, tissue-sparing care while ensuring optimal oncologic and cosmetic outcomes.
