The Carl Vinson VA Medical Center located in Dublin, GA is recruiting for a full-time BE/BC Pulmonologist. The physician will consult and treat patients in an outpatient, inpatient, and Emergency Department setting and interpret pulmonary function tests (PFTs) and sleep studies. Physician will spend at least 80% of time in clinic answering consults for outpatient pulmonary care and providing follow-up care as needed. The remainder of the time is spent between interpreting PFTs and sleep studies and answering inpatient and ED consults. VA Eastern Kansas Health Care System is currently seeking a BC/BE Hospitalist (Nocturnist) to cover inpatient wards/PCU/ICU after hours. Will be responsible for taking calls on Medicine patients in-house (Med/Surg floor, PCU, ICU), managing emergencies and writing admission orders and completing required paperwork. Will handle transfers into and out of the facility as needed. Candidate will coordinate hand-off communication after hours and at the start and completion of shifts. Will see Medicine consults after hours as needed. Work hours to be 80 hours per 2 week period. Work volume is 18-24 total Medicine service patients in-house on average including ICU/PCU; 3-4 admissions/night on average.
