Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry invites applications for full-time and part-time faculty positions in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. We are seeking enthusiastic, dedicated, and experienced Oral Surgeons to participate in predoctoral and postdoctoral education. The candidate will contribute to clinical teaching, didactic instruction, curriculum development, research and scholarly activities. A strong commitment to academic excellence, patient-centered care, and the advancement of oral health is essential. The ideal candidate will: Demonstrate proficiency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Have strong instructional and communication skills with experience in academic settings Be able to work effectively with varied students, faculty, and patient populations Be familiar with educational technology and electronic health records Have experience with curriculum design and academic program assistance Have published research and scholarly contributions in the field of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Required Qualifications DDS or DMD from a U.S. or Canadian accredited dental school. Clinical teaching experience at the predoctoral or postdoctoral level. Licensed to practice dentistry in the state of Tennessee or eligible to become licensed. Certification in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from a US or Canadian CODA-accredited postgraduate program.
