Participate in quality assurance activities and recommend resolutions. Monitor drug therapy and intervene when appropriate. Coordination of Services: Coordinate efforts with operational staff. Precept undergraduate B.S. and Pharm.D. students. Safety/Risk Management: Adhere to confidentiality policies and procedures. Mandatory Responsibilities: Complete expiration date checks and inspections. Perform pharmacy and unit floor stock checks. Complete mandatory fire/safety training and continuing education. Technology Proficiency: Use pharmacy information systems (e.g., Epic) for order verification and documentation. Utilize drug information software (e.g., Micromedex). Operate pharmacy automation systems (e.g., Omnicell, ScriptPro, Baxa, McKesson). Professionalism: Demonstrate Mercy Signature Service communication skills. Maintain professional and courteous behavior. Follow proper hygiene, PPE, and dress code standards. Work efficiently under time constraints and meet hourly deadlines. Qualifications: Education: Required: Bachelor of Science (BS) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited school of pharmacy. Preferred: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) Licensure: Required: Current pharmacist license in the state of practice. Experience: Required: Minimum 14 years of experience in area of practice. Preferred: Two or more years of clinical experience and completion of a PGY-1 residency.
