Chief Executive Officer (Houston)
Chief Executive Officer Gulf Coast Community Services Association (GCCSA) seeks a visionary, solution‑focused leader to guide the organization into its next phase of growth, rebranding, and community impact. The role will oversee a staff of 265 people and an annual operating budget of $36 million. Responsibilities Lead ethical, visionary leadership by creating and communicating a compelling vision for GCCSA to staff, the Board of Directors, and community partners. Build and sustain an inclusive culture that fosters collaboration and positive team dynamics. Define strategic direction and growth strategies for programs. Strengthen community partnerships with government agencies, civic leaders, foundations, and other nonprofits. Diversify funding by identifying and securing new revenue streams. Oversee a complex financial structure, including budget preparation, audit controls, and compliance with federal and state regulations. Qualifications At least 10 years of senior executive experience, preferably within a Community Action Agency or a large nonprofit. Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit administration, social work, business, psychology, or a related field; advanced education preferred. Proven history of managing multi‑million‑dollar budgets and navigating complex public/private grant requirements. Strong leadership, communication, advocacy, and board‑relationship skills. Experience generating new revenue streams and improving financial results. Excellent fiscal management, analytical, strategic thinking, and problem‑solving abilities. Diplomatic servant‑leadership and transparency. Compensation Salary range: $185,950 – $195,247 plus a comprehensive benefits package.
