Also, this position assists in integration of rehabilitation services in all settings. The Senior Therapist assesses the need for, develops, and delivers therapy programs to facilitate rehabilitation. The Senior Therapist identifies the need for and makes referral(s) to other disciplines to address the comprehensive needs of the patients. Assists DOR in ensuring practice act compliance. 8. Attends facility meetings and is responsible for information sharing at facility meetings at the DOR's direction. 9. Recognized as "go to person" from a clinical standpoint in the gym. 10. Assists in clinical development and growth of therapy staff in their own or other disciplines. 11. Summary of role of team : School based liaison position is a very important part of the team. This position is a liaison between the client, school, family and community. The below specific duties are value to making the school-based liaison position successful in all areas. Quality Care 1. Provides individual/family psychotherapy for children ages 4-21. Clinician is present and ready to begin session at the appointment time, every session. Clinician calls to reschedule any sessions that he/she will be unable to attend or that the consumer missed or canceled 100% of the time. Submit all daily contact logs within one week of the occurrence. Submit hand generated productivity to Team Leader by the second working business day of the month. Summary of position : Serves as the primary clinician that provides counseling/liaison services to a predetermined number of children/youth and families in the Loudon County School System. Works alongside Loudon County Schools to create a trauma informed school climate, provide consultation and training to staff, and deliver direct therapeutic mental health services to selected schools while providing linkage and coordination to additional wrap around services. Clinician provides weekly individual and family psychotherapy to children and adolescents ages 4-21 with a mental health diagnosis. Clinician is to provide psycho-social assessments for clients and provides diagnosis and appropriate referrals for clients assessed, as needed. Clinician provides crisis intervention and emergency services as needed. Interfaces with the school system and other agencies to increase cooperation and consistency between home, school, and community. The Master's Level Liaison Counselor provides information and referral, agency linkage, advocacy, home visits, and follow-up services. Treatment modalities used by Master's level clinicians providing therapy services include Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT), Attachment, Self-Regulation and Competency (ARC), Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), and Play Therapy. Functions as a member of a treatment team to plan, implement, and evaluate successful interventions for children and families. This individual will provide counseling activities that are adventure-based in nature and will lead group process and activities with identified children and youth as needed. The holder of this position will provide individual, family, and group counseling sessions including initiatives that encourage communication, trust building, and responsibility of actions and clinical process of all activities.
