The ideal candidate will help define and execute product roadmaps for cloud-native security detection and response capabilities while supporting market analysis and competitive positioning within the NDR cloud space. This role requires contributing to product development initiatives across AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Microsoft Azure, designing product features that integrate seamlessly with cloud infrastructure. You will need to have a deep deep understanding of Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) providers and their ecosystems, contributing to technologies and partnerships that support SASE provider integrations. Additionally, you'll provide technical input on containerization technologies within cloud environments and collaborate with technical teams on cloud-native deployment strategies. The successful candidate will have experience with cloud-based security products and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams including engineering, sales, and marketing. Design in vitro and in vivo toxicology studies (non-GLP and GLP) to support discovery and development efforts across global programs. Develop, review, and approve study protocols, test methods, study reports, and preclinical regulatory filings. Provide pharmacology and toxicology expertise in the analysis and interpretation of nonclinical results and integrate with the global development program. Author and review the nonclinical component of regulatory submissions with cross-functional data integration and contribution from SMEs. Communicate nonclinical safety findings to cross-functional teams with a balanced and clear point of view. Manage workload capacity and growth and supervise professional guidance for global preclinical scientists (contractors, employees) in the conduct of global preclinical studies. Prepare for and participate in regulatory interactions. Prepare scientific abstracts and manuscripts, and present information at scientific meetings to disseminate results of preclinical studies. Work with accounts payable and finance on non-clinical budgeting and forecasting for development programs Lead the nonclinical toxicity and safety evaluation committee to provide support for global discovery and development programs. Champion and deliver edge-deployable CV models that are robust, efficient, and optimized for low-power environments in remote areas. Develop, deploy, and maintain multiple CV models addressing a range of environmental and sensing contexts by gathering and curating novel ML training sets. Within the first 3 months: Fully onboard and assess current ML training pipelines and CV infrastructure. Begin developing a roadmap for a robust, sustainable training system. Build relationships across Data Science, Software, and Sensor Hardware teams to understand pain points and opportunities. Within the first 6 months: Deliver a working MVP of a model training pipeline tailored to LineVision’s data constraints and goals. Guide team members through project-based mentoring and technical knowledge transfer. Pilot an early-stage edge-deployable CV model for field testing. Within the first year: Stand up and document a scalable, production-grade CV training and deployment system. Ship multiple robust CV models in production, including at least one optimized for edge processing. Build a track record of successfully translating general product requirements into actionable tasks and clearly defined model performance metrics. Develop best-practice guidelines, model accuracy benchmarks, and reusable assets for future CV models. About The Role UKG is hiring an Senior Principal Architect for the Pro HR product. In this role you will be responsible for leading and driving the architectural design and implementation of key modules within the product. This role requires a strong technical background and a passion for driving innovation and efficiency. Architects are members of a team that participate in how we define, implement, and enforce an overall architecture practice, including principles and standards. They are focused on improving efficiency and effectiveness of the business through architectural designs that align and fit within the technical ecosystem. They are the primary drivers of design, while also being technically hands-on to support the teams and ensure that ongoing feature deliveries are well-designed, resilient and optimized for performance. This role will work as a thought leader in our cross-functional teams to help define and govern the processes spanning over the whole software development lifecycle. The ideal candidate is an experienced software architect with experience in cloud infrastructure, enterprise architecture, software development principles and artificial intelligence technologies. Responsibilities Provide technical leadership and support to UKG Pro HR engineering teams. Develop, design, and communicate a clear architectural vision and design for the teams that is aligned with the organization's goals and objectives, while keeping a product suite mindset at the forefront. Understand product requirements, drive for clarity of requirements to ensure the design is fit for purpose, and ensure design supports architecture strategy. Develops technical roadmaps and ensures that services for the suite meet established architectural guidelines and standards. Deep dive into the code to confirm design integrity and maintain a cost-effective straightforward design throughout the teams. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, operations, and product managers, to gather requirements and ensure architectural design meets the needs of internal and external stakeholders. Collaborate with peers and technical leaders to define/articulate constraints and guidelines. Define and enforce CI/CD standards, development methodologies, and quality assurance processes. Identify and mitigate risks associated with architectural decisions. Anticipate business needs 6 months out and works with leaders to inject effort. Use resources provided by Architecture Governance on common architecture practices (standards, templates, etc.) to ensure designs and vision reflect our principles and standards. Ensure effective adoption of observability tools for proactive alerting of production performance issues, adopt service-owner mindset to ensure quick recovery from problems, and constantly seek opportunities to improve resilience of services from failures. Leverage artificial intelligence tools to identify productivity improvements for engineering teams, as also value-add features for our users. Document and maintain the product & service architecture. Drive strategic architecture vision and innovation. Identify and evaluate emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices to ensure the Value Streams scalability, security, and performance. Provide architecture leadership, focusing on creating and maintaining cross-product and multi-year architecture visions. Identify architecture risks, develop mitigation strategies, and maintain architectural opportunities for all stakeholders. Understand how architecture is done across the industry; research new technology trends; identify innovations that can drive a competitive advantage for UKG products. Requirements Bachelors/Masters in engineering / Computer Science or equivalent experience 12 years of software development experience in a fast-paced environment, working through all phases of the software development life cycle. Proven experience as a lead architect or similar role, driving the architecture and implementation of complex software solutions. Possess extensive design portfolios showing high proficiency in Java based development technologies for SaaS and Multi-Tenant systems. Experience leveraging observability tools such as Datadog and Grafana for production monitoring. Experience with modern cloud technology (GCP, AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, etc.) and the ability to design a solution that operates optimally in a cloud environment, including cost optimizations, leveraging managed services, observability, etc. Strong exposure for highly reliable, scalable, secure, and decoupled solution Strong exposure of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery process (CI/CD) Experience in detailed analysis, feasibility studies, performance analysis and prototyping. Experience in developing Software application for Multiplatform development. Experience in object-oriented programming and design, Service oriented architecture and design patterns. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Excellent problems solving skills, with the ability to handle the most complex issues. Experience with relational and non-relational database technologies (SQL Server, PostGres, MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, etc.) Experience with modern quality practices to effectively automate testing and eliminate manual test processes will be preferred. Experience with artificial Intelligence and machine learning techniques. Experience with modern analytics technology (BigQuery, Snowflake, Tableau, Looker, etc.).
