Project Management  Proficiency in Project Management is required.  Prepare proposals, scope of work and budgets for new projects.  Manage phases of the geotechnical investigations for major development/construction projects.  Manage deadlines.  Quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC). 2. Supervise Staff  Supervise and mentor staff engineers and technicians.  Supervise engineering analysis by staff.  Train staff in basic engineering procedures and techniques.  Supervision of the laboratory testing. 3. Coordinate Investigations  Prepare a subsurface investigation based on the requirements of the project.  Review the subsurface data and assign appropriate laboratory testing.  Interpret laboratory test data for use in engineering analyses. 4. Engineering Analysis  Based on review of information from field logs and laboratory data perform slope stability analysis; landslide stability evaluation; liquefaction hazard assessment; settlement analysis; debris flow analysis; foundation design parameters for shallow foundation, retaining walls and piles/piers; lateral earth pressure; pavement design; soil and rock mechanics; and groundwater evaluation and control.  Review and evaluate grading and building plans relative to proposed improvements and identify potential geotechnical constraints and mitigation measures.  Proficient in Excel, Slope Stability Analysis (i.e., Slide), Liquefaction Analysis 5. Prepare and/or Review Technical Reports  Review, studies and analyzes information from field logs and laboratory data to make recommend type of foundations for structures and/or earthwork recommendations.
