Job Description Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a Compliance Associate to support the safe and compliant handling of laboratory chemicals and chemical waste within an R&D environment. This is a hands-on, physically active position involving daily chemical-waste collection, packaging, labeling, storage-area inspections, chemical dispensing and delivery, and EH&S documentation. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can work independently, stay productive in a busy environment, and is comfortable performing routine manual/material-handling tasks while following strict safety and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities Collect chemical waste from laboratories and process areas and transport it to designated Central Accumulation Areas (CAA). Package, label, inventory, and prepare chemical-waste containers for transport and disposal. Maintain waste storage areas, including housekeeping, container organization, supplies, signage, and inventory. Perform routine inspections of CAA and other waste-storage areas in accordance with RCRA and company requirements. Coordinate with R&D personnel on laboratory clean-outs and special waste-disposal activities. Dispense chemicals from drums into smaller containers using required PPE and safety procedures. Deliver chemicals to laboratories and designated storage areas. Read and use Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and available resources to support appropriate chemical/waste handling and disposal. Complete inspections, safety-equipment checks, and required documentation. Identify issues and initiate/track work orders or other corrective actions through appropriate tracking systems. Maintain EH&S records and report task completion status to the supervisor. Support EH&S activities such as procedure development, Management of Change (MOC) reviews, and database management as needed.
