This position provides back-up support for Department Assistant(s) within the Department and the Transportation Coordinator. TASK NO. DESCRIPTION 1 Assist meal site coordinators and volunteers with day-to-day operations. This includes filling in when Meal Site coordinators are unavailable to serve the meal. 2 Perform onsite and in-home assessments of people interested in or participating in the nutrition program. Ensure all required registration, screening and assessments for the nutrition program participants are completed. 3 Assist with ensuring the program meets local, state, and federal nutrition program regulations. 4 Ensure the ongoing practice of safe food handling by developing and enforcing local procedures related to food safety and sanitation. PRIMARY FUNCTION: Primarily responsible for managing all aspects of poultry debone and slaughter processing ensuring procedures are followed, to achieve the highest level of productivity in the most cost-efficient manner possible while still maintaining customer specifications. This role directs a team of employees through subordinate supervisors to ensuring compliance with all food safety programs, and company policies. Responsible for employees’ performance, development, safety, and work schedules. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: 1 – 10 salaried Production Supervisors and indirect responsibility for 100 hourly production employees. This is a Leader of People position with required competencies: Sizing up People, Delegation, Planning, Customer Focus and Conflict Management. MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or equivalent AND a minimum of 4 years’ relevant experience in a similar manufacturing environment; OR Associates Degree in a relevant discipline AND 2 years’ relevant experience in a similar manufacturing environment. Minimum 2 years’ leadership and/or supervisory experience of 20 persons. PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline from an accredited institution. 5 years’ experience within the food manufacturing industry. 5 years’ supervisory and/or leadership experience. REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS: Working knowledge of poultry processing, food safety regulations, OSHA guidelines, GMPs and HACCP. Proficient knowledge of production processes, general line maintenance and staffing. Proficient English language knowledge and skills (oral and written). Demonstrated leadership skills and abilities. Demonstrated success building effective teams with proven ability to lead by engaging and motivating a team and influencing an organization. Effective interpersonal communication skills sufficient to communicate and interact effectively with all levels within the organization. Proficient knowledge and use of Microsoft office programs. Ability to work in fast paced environment with multiple priorities. Ability to handle and resolve most issues independently. High work capacity, dependable, results oriented and strong sense of urgency. Demonstrated sound work ethic, honesty and moral character. REQUIRED PROBLEM SOLVING SKILLS: Understand and interpret data while drawing logical conclusions based on available inputs. Critical thinking skills in standardized situations as well as non-routine problems. Manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously and prioritize work accordingly. SAFETY REQUIREMENTS: Follow departmental and company safety policies and programs. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Work in extreme temperatures, frequently subject to extreme wet and cold, as well as hot and humid environments. Subject to odors and areas with moderate to extreme levels of noise. Lift up to 50 pounds. Bending, twisting, climbing, stacking, pushing and standing for long periods of time. Occasional weekend and off-shift work required. POSITION SUMMARY: Under the direction of the APLA Health Site Medical Director, provides primary medical care for adults at the Gleicher/Chen Health Center and other APLA Health clinical sites. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: In conjunction with the Chief Medical Officer or Gleicher/Chen Site Medical Director, and other senior management, responsible for full compliance with FQHC grant requirements. · Provides medical services at the Gleicher/Chen Health Center and other Los Angeles APLA Health clinical sites as assigned. · May be required to work past 5PM and some work on Saturdays may be required in the future. Participates in the planning, coordination and evaluation of all medical activities at Gleicher/Chen Health Center. Adheres to all APLA policies and protocols, including clinical guidelines for common conditions; and follows protocols for proper documentation in accordance with the medical director and the APLA quality management and compliance department. Ensure timely completion of charting lab reviews and medication refills within 48 hours of the visit. Conduct medical visits for at least 16 patients per full clinic day. Investigates new medical procedures and techniques. Participates in the quality assurance plan that includes the provider peer review program, documentation of quality indicators and sound program assessment methodologies. Assures the integrity of electronic medical records in accordance with state and federal laws governing the creation, retention, and destruction of medical records related to client care. On-call (by phone only) duties are required. Admin time will be 10% of total hours worked per week, rounded to the nearest 20 min. A full-time provider (40 hrs.) will get 4 hrs. of admin time. One working 3 days/week (24 hours) will get 2.4 hours, which rounds to 2 hours 20 min. Work hours beyond clinic hours may be required to complete tasks and documentation.
