This role combines hands-on training, student mentorship, and industry expertise to create an effective learning experience that promotes student success, retention, and career readiness. Key Responsibilities Deliver hands-on HVAC instruction in classroom and lab settings Teach HVAC concepts, systems, troubleshooting, installation, maintenance, and safety practices Demonstrate industry-standard tools, equipment, and procedures Create an engaging learning environment that encourages participation and skill development Monitor student progress and provide coaching, feedback, and academic support Maintain accurate attendance, grades, and student records in accordance with established deadlines Ensure a clean, organized, and safe training environment Promote safety awareness and promptly address potential concerns Provide students with course objectives, grading criteria, and syllabus information Collaborate with academic leadership to support student success initiatives Participate in curriculum enhancement and continuous improvement efforts Engage in campus activities, including orientations, advisory board meetings, and graduation ceremonies Qualifications Required Minimum 3 years of professional HVAC industry experience Relevant HVAC certifications, licenses, or credentials as required by state regulations and accreditation standards Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to motivate, mentor, and guide adult learners Professionalism, reliability, and strong organizational skills Commitment to student success and workforce development Preferred Previous teaching, training, coaching, mentoring, or workforce development experience Experience leading teams, apprentices, or junior technicians EPA certification and other industry-recognized HVAC credentials Ideal Candidate You may be a great fit if you are: An HVAC Technician, Service Technician, Installer, Maintenance Technician, Field Supervisor, or HVAC Manager Passionate about sharing your industry knowledge Looking for a stable, rewarding career outside of daily field service demands Committed to developing the next generation of skilled trades professionals Location Fortis Institute – Towson, MD Schedule: Morning Program Apply Today Ready to turn your HVAC experience into a career that changes lives?
