The Director of Facilities shall report directly to the Vice Chancellor of Finance & Administration. The Director directs and coordinates property functions as prescribed by Title 39 of the LA Revised Statutes for the College, serves as the College Safety Officer, and ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements regarding vehicle maintenance and reporting. The incumbent of this position is responsible for coordination of campus staff employees responsible for property control, facilities, and safety. In addition, the Director will assist the Vice Chancellor of Finance & Administration with capital outlay and deferred maintenance budget requests and helps monitor projects from design through construction for the College. RESPONSIBILITIES: Facility Management 1. Assists the Vice Chancellor of Finance & Administration with the preparation of the capital outlay and deferred maintenance budgets for the College. 2. Directs the preparations, updating and maintenance of the College-wide facilities inventory and utilization. 3. Participates in development of the master plan for the College facilities. 4. Serving as Project Director for various facilities-related projects, assuring compliance and timely completion of tasks, and overseeing all aspects of contractor performance including schedule and budget adherence. 5. Reviews all contracts for renting and leasing equipment and facilities. 6. Participates in the reviews of contracts, architectural plans, and specifications of all construction projects of Facility Planning and makes recommendations to the Vice Chancellor of Finance & Administration. 7. Participates in the establishment of guidelines for deferred maintenance programs and devises appropriate and fair method by which any funding is distributed among the campuses. 8. Meets with external agencies as needed, regarding capital outlay projects and facilities matters. 9. Inspects campuses periodically at least annually to determine needs for capital outlay and deferred maintenance requests and lists. Reports this information to the Vice Chancellor of Finance & Administration. 10. Provide leadership and guidance, advice, coaching and direct support where required. 11. An Associates degree plus 10 years of facilities and safety experience may replace the bachelor’s degree requirement. Job Description Job Description Place of performance: FCC Oakdale Radiologic Technologist Schedule: The contractor will normally provide 6 (1) hour sessions per day (30 hours), 5 days per week, excluding Federal Holidays. Work hours will normally be between 7:30 AM – 4 PM with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. These hours may be adjusted to meet the needs of the institution. The contractor shall not normally exceed 40 hours per week. Minimum Qualifications: The contract employee shall be fully licensed to perform radiological procedures by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist. He or She must have at least one or more years of experience. Background clearance packets submitted by potential contractor employees shall be accompanied by a certified or photo static copy of their current license. The Contractor must be Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certified, in accordance with the American Heart Association or American Red Cross. Verification of credentials (state licensed if applicable federal licensed). Proof of Insurability, Verify certification in CPR. Scope of Services: The contractor shall provide the following Radiology Technician services which include, but are not limited to, the items listed below. Therefore, the contractor shall be capable of performing any and all radiology procedures needed without any technical support. • Perform routine radiologic procedures ordered by the medical staff for the inmate population at the institution. • Transmit, retrieve X-ray images and reports electronically, and scan reports into inmates’ Bureau Electronic Medical Record (BEMR). • Receive training to retrieve radiographic consults from BEMR and schedule them to perform all radiographic procedures. • Work with an inmate population from a variety of cultural, racial, religious and ethnic backgrounds. • Evaluate radiographic equipment for calibrations and repairs. • Possess knowledge of basic emergency situations that may occur during special radiographic procedures. • Schedule exams and maintain records. • Possess knowledge of various pathological abnormalities as demonstrated by radiographic imaging. • Independently assess and select technical exposure factors and positions necessary to obtain a proper quality diagnostic exam. Receive patients and explain procedures to alleviate undue anxiety. • Independently perform all radiographic procedures; i.e., chest, bone, skull, spine, and portable x-rays, etc. • Notify Radiologist, or referring Physician of any preliminary abnormalities seen while patient is undergoing an exam, so that additional views, or exams can be ordered if needed. • Coordinate transfer of patient radiologic records to ensure continuity of care. • Work with Clinical Director to ensure monitoring and evaluation activities are completed. • Act as liaison between radiologist and medical staff. • Receive training and orientation and comply with correctional techniques as they pertain to medical services. • Develop a working knowledge of the local medical protocols Pay & Benefits $26.55 per hour plus an additional $4.93 per hour for Health & Welfare.
