Sr. Software Engineer, UI Developer Tooling (Hybrid, New York)

As a global leader in cybersecurity, CrowdStrike protects the people, processes and technologies that drive modern organizations. We’re always looking to add talented CrowdStrikers to the team who have limitless passion, a relentless focus on innovation and a fanatical commitment to our customers, our community and each other. Ready to join a mission that matters? The future of cybersecurity starts with you. About the Role: We're looking for a Senior UI Platform Engineer to lead the design and build of the shared developer tooling foundation for our next-generation front end. It's a strategic role for someone who wants to shape how hundreds of UI engineers scaffold, build, integrate and ship their code across the organisation. UI Platform owns the paved road for UI engineering at CrowdStrike. As Product Groups migrate onto the new UI, we're consolidating developer tooling, build infrastructure, dependency management and CI into a single internal platform that teams pick up themselves. This role is central to that mission and you'll build the module federation foundations, build pipelines, scaffolding and automation that every UI team relies on to stay productive at scale. What You'll Do: Own the module federation architecture that lets dozens of Product Groups ship independent microfrontends into a single UI shell, keeping contracts stable, versions honest and cross-team breakage rare. Lead the shared Vite build and dev-server tooling that every UI engineer runs locally and in CI, keeping hot reload fast, sub-package watch reliable and cold starts honest. Design and run the CI pipelines that build, verify and publish every UI package across GitLab CI and Jenkins, keeping them fast, cacheable and giving engineers a clear signal when something breaks. Ship the single CLI that is the front door to the platform to scaffold a repo, wire it into module federation, run its tests, cut a release with one command for everything a UI engineer does locally and in CI. Wire automated dependency management (Renovate), security scanning and AI-assisted upgrades into the paved road so version bumps, vulnerability response and monorepo hygiene don't fall on individual teams. Shift left: move linting, type checks, build validation and contract checks into the developer's editor and pre-push hooks so engineers catch issues in seconds, not in a failed pipeline twenty minutes later. Work with UI Quality, UI Release and Observability so the platform feels like one thing through a single CLI. Pair with Product Group leads to migrate legacy build and tooling patterns onto the paved road and get the tooling strategy adopted across the organisation. Mentor engineers on build tooling, module federation and monorepo patterns, and give thoughtful code review across the platform and its consumers. Build the ephemeral environments and preview deployments per MR so engineers get fast, honest feedback on their changes before they merge. What You'll Need: You've built shared frameworks, tooling or platforms that other engineers rely on day to day. You know Vite and modern front-end build tooling well, and you're comfortable diagnosing issues deep in the module graph. You've shipped module federation (or equivalent microfrontend architecture) in production at scale, and you understand the versioning, contract and runtime pitfalls. You're fluent in TypeScript, monorepo tooling (Nx, Turborepo or similar) and modern package management (pnpm workspaces). You've designed GitLab CI pipelines that stay fast and reliable and give engineers a clear signal when something breaks. You've automated dependency management (Renovate or similar) and pulled security tooling (SAST, SCA, Snyk) into developer workflows. You've set engineering standards that autonomous teams have genuinely adopted, and you can influence senior engineers and leaders when it matters. You've used AI in earnest to change how engineering work gets done, not as a novelty. You don't need to tick every box. If most of the "What you'll need" list sounds like you, we'd like to hear from you. Proven experience utilizing AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows and processes, improve efficiency and drive business outcomes. Bonus Points: Playwright and modern browser test tooling wired into CI as a fast, reliable signal. Running Jenkins alongside modern CI during a platform migration. Ephemeral preview environments per MR and the infrastructure automation behind them. Developer experience metrics like DORA or SPACE, and using them to drive tooling investment. Contract testing between federated remotes in a large distributed front end. Sr. Backend Engineer, AutoScaling & Balancing, NG-SIEM (Hybrid)

As a global leader in cybersecurity, CrowdStrike protects the people, processes and technologies that drive modern organizations. Since 2011, our mission hasn’t changed — we’re here to stop breaches, and we’ve redefined modern security with the world’s most advanced AI-native platform. We work on large scale distributed systems, processing almost 3 trillion events per day and this traffic is growing daily. Our customers span all industries, and they count on CrowdStrike to keep their businesses running, their communities safe and their lives moving forward. We're proud to work for a mission-driven company leveraging AI to transform the way we work. CrowdStrikers drive their careers through flexibility and autonomy while also being expected to contribute to a culture of responsible AI adoption, experimentation, and innovation. We use an AI-first mindset as a force multiplier to proactively and continuously accelerate execution, build expertise, uncover insights, and solve complex problems. We’re always looking to add talented CrowdStrikers to the team who have limitless passion, a relentless focus on innovation and a fanatical commitment to our customers, our community and each other. Ready to join a mission that matters? The future of cybersecurity starts with you. About the Role: Our mission is to make all of our customers’ security-relevant data continuously available for automated detection and response, threat hunting, and other Falcon use cases. To enable this, the systems behind NG-SIEM are growing to accommodate >100 PB of event and action data ingested every day, up to 10 years of retention, and dozens of millions of queries per hour across large sections of the data stored. Ideal candidate for this Senior Engineer has deep expertise in large-scale distributed/control systems (intelligent placement, auto balancing, autoscaling) and the ability to go deep into the underlying data platform (LogScale) — ingestion, storage, and query internals — to connect scaling decisions to real system behavior in a large multi-tenant environment. We run a multi-tenant platform where many customers share a common pool of infrastructure. The core challenge is a two-sided optimization: deliver the best performance for every customer while achieving the best overall resource utilization (minimal wasted capacity, maximum density). This role is hybrid, on-site at one of the posted locations: Sunnyvale, CA; Redmond, WA; New York City; or Austin, TX with a strong preference to candidates in Austin, TX. What You’ll Do: Intelligent Customer Placement — Decide which part of the fleet each customer lands on, bin packing tenants efficiently while reserving enough headroom so everyone gets the capacity they're entitled to. Auto balancing — Continuously rebalance customers across shared infrastructure as load shifts, protecting each customer's performance while keeping the fleet healthy. Autoscaling — Automatically add or remove capacity as demand changes, so the fleet grows and shrinks with real usage instead of being manually provisioned. Data-Driven Decisions — Use real-time per-tenant usage (e.g., memory, storage, throughput, query cost) to drive placement and balancing. End-to-End System Depth — Go deep into the underlying data platform (how data is ingested, stored, cached, and queried) to understand why a placement or scaling decision helps or hurts, and feed that back into the models. Operational Rigor — Operate what you build, and treat customer-impacting incidents with the same rigor as feature work; reliability and static stability are forcing functions for design, not a phase bolted on after launch. Feature Delivery — Deliver key parts of our systems as an individual contributor while leading the team to solve ambiguous problems, and move the scalability of our LogScale engine to the next level. Technical Strategy & Alignment — Engage with other technical leads and principal engineers to keep our technical strategy coherent across the LogScale platform and move our product mission forward. Communication — As a remote-first company, bring excellent verbal and written communication skills when working with teams across the globe. What You’ll Need : Must be a U.S. Citizen or US Permanent Resident. 7 years of experience designing, implementing, and maintaining multiple software products/systems/releases, preferably in a SaaS delivery model, across all phases of the development lifecycle, and across multiple software stacks; 4 years of experience as an engineer in a force-multiplying position (delivery through others); Current hands-on experience as an engineer (3 years) owning a distributed system that handled tens of billions of requests per day or more than 1 PB of data per day; History of significant and continued impact on customer experience and business results; Demonstrated track record of operational excellence when operating services that span many components across several geographical regions; Experience working with and growing strong engineers within remote teams across geographies and cultures; Ability to communicate and articulate crisply Proven experience utilizing AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows and processes, improve efficiency and drive business outcomes. Bonus Points : Hands on development experience in Golang and Scala. Solid grounding in the technology of at least one cloud environment (AWS, Azure, GCP). Expertise with Kafka. Exposure to or experience with Log Management or cybersecurity products. Machine learning and data science familiarity and hands-on experience. LI-SS1 This role will require the candidate to periodically undergo and pass additional background and fingerprint check(s) consistent with government customer requirements.
