Job Summary The Workplace Experience Meeting and Event Setup Coordinator handles the setup and breakdown of meeting and event spaces at the client site. This role is very physical and involves the movement and reconfiguration of event furniture as a key responsibility. This role generally falls under the Facilities Management team, Janitorial Services or within Soft Services. In cases where a more dedicated support is needed, the role/roles fall under Meeting and Events. This role is client facing, so the technician must be able to exhibit good customer service and communication skills while providing a high touch hospitality focused service. Key Responsibilities * Executes set-up, breakdown, and resetting for all meeting and event spaces * Move furniture and equipment in and out of meeting spaces, as needed. (tables, chairs, staging, podiums, etc.) * Ensures that meeting and event spaces are maintained in a clean and efficient manner, well stocked and ready * Operational knowledge of all relevant equipment within the meeting and event spaces * Maintain storage and inventory of furniture and equipment * Complete all meeting and event set-up requests in a timely manner, ensuring KPI compliance and excellent customer service * Collaborate with other service providers who support the meeting and event space (audio visual, catering, security, facilities, janitorial, and equipment providers) * Work with clients at all levels of an organization, including executives * Assist the meeting and event managers with execution of onsite meetings and events including facilitating support, supplies, way finding and any other event needs. * Follow safety rules and safe working practices * Performs all job responsibilities with initiative, accuracy, integrity, and good judgement * Performs other related duties as assigned Qualifications * High School diploma or equivalent * Must maintain a presentable demeanor, including professional attire and good hygiene * Must have basic computer skills (Microsoft office suite, Outlook) * The ability to learn and carry out basic operational skills for event space setup * Good communication and interpersonal skills * Strong attention to detail and the ability to complete work accurately and efficiently * Must be able stand/walk and lift up to 50 pound and move up to 75 pounds without assistance over long periods of time * Ability to utilize small hand tools to fasten and tighten equipment components together * Ability to work independently with little supervision Beacon Hill is an equal opportunity employer and individuals with disabilities and/or protected veterans are encouraged to apply.
