Responsibilities: Serve as the technical lead and platform owner for Ansible Automation Platform; define and maintain enterprise reference architectures, standards, and best practices for automation Lead design reviews and provide technical guidance across automation initiatives; act as the escalation point for complex platform, performance, and integration issues Architect and implement enterprise scale Ansible Automation Platform environments, from initial design through production rollout. Lead AAP implementation that includes such as controllers, Execution environments; automation content repositories, Platform integrations and dependencies; design for high availability, scalability, and resiliency; ability to own platform lifecycle management, including upgrades, capacity planning, and roadmap alignment Install, configure, and maintain AAP in production OpenShift environments; manage execution environments, collections, credentials, inventories, and projects; Establish monitoring, alerting, and operational runbooks Enable and scale automation adoption across infrastructure, cloud, and security teams; build reusable automation frameworks supporting build, deploy, and operational workflows; define automation governance models (RBAC, content promotion, access controls); mentor and coach engineers and automation consumers on Ansible and AAP best practices Embed security-by-design principles into platform architecture and automation workflows and ensure compliance with enterprise security, audit, and change management standards; partner with security teams to address vulnerabilities, patching, and platform hardening Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environment Qualifications: Minimum five years of applied experience architecting and implementing Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) in large enterprise environments Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred Demonstrated experience deploying and operating AAP on Red Hat OpenShift preferred Strong expertise in: Ansible (playbooks, roles, collections, inventories); execution environments and containerized automation; Kubernetes and OpenShift architecture Experience in integrating automation platforms with identity, CI/CD, and secrets management systems; ability to lead technical strategy while remaining deeply tactically involved Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.
