MATERIALS SUPERVISOR (Laurinburg)

Purpose:To effectively plan and oversee operations, while providing direction, inspiration and accountability for Shipping, Warehouse, Made to order operators under the guidance of the Materials and Made to Order Managers. Manage inventory levels, ensuring accurate and efficient stock management to meet business goals while guaranteeing compliance to NSG’s Safety policies, processes, organizational policies and operational performance.Essential Functions:• Provide Administrative and clerical support through data reporting, timekeeping, Attendance recording, and corrective counsel • Spends 75% of daily time on the floor, working with salaried and hourly team members.• Required to provide Shift coverage for other Materials Supervisors as needed.• Perform data collection and analysis to track inventory levels and trends• Handle materials and products in a warehouse or distribution center setting• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate inventory and stock availability• Conduct regular cycle counts and reconcile any discrepancies• Planning, scheduling and coordination for warehouse, MTO and Shipping • Reporting metrics for Performance, Safety and Compliance efficiencies • Leads and participates in daily, weekly, monthly meetings to align department with NSG Culture & Core Values.• Develop and review Inventory practices to ensure that all employees understand and execute practices according to procedure.
