About the Opportunity This is an excellent role for a Nurse Practitioner who enjoys practicing full-scope urgent care medicine in a fast-paced yet supportive clinical setting. CareNow clinics feature onsite labs, X-ray capabilities, and experienced clinical staff to assist with patient flow and procedures. Providers are assigned to locations based on proximity to their home and clinic needs, improving convenience and work-life balance. Position Highlights Join a well-established urgent care network with strong patient volume Work alongside experienced physicians, NPs/PAs, and clinical support staff Flexible scheduling that supports stability and work-life balance Modern clinics equipped for comprehensive urgent care services Opportunity to treat a diverse patient population across all ages (3 months and older) Key Responsibilities Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with common urgent care conditions including infections, minor injuries, acute illnesses, and non-emergent medical concerns Perform urgent care procedures such as: Simple laceration repair Incision and drainage of abscesses Splinting and basic fracture care Wound care Administering injections and medications Order and interpret diagnostic tests (labs, X-ray) Provide clear patient education, follow-up instructions, and discharge planning Maintain accurate and compliant medical documentation Collaborate with clinic leadership and support staff to ensure smooth daily operations Qualifications Master s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program Active Texas APRN license and national certification (FNP, ACNP, or similar appropriate certification) Active DEA license or ability to obtain Experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or primary care strongly preferred Comfortable seeing ages 3 months and older Competency in common urgent care procedures Strong communication skills and the ability to provide compassionate, efficient care in a fast-paced environment Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly compensation with opportunities for performance-based bonuses Flexible scheduling to support personal and professional balance Comprehensive benefits package, including: Medical, dental, and vision coverage Paid medical malpractice PTO and CME support 401(k) and retirement benefits Modern clinics with strong operational and administrative support Opportunities for professional development within the HCA Healthcare network About CareNow Urgent Care CareNow is a physician- and provider-focused urgent care organization committed to delivering accessible, high-quality outpatient care.
