A caregiver in this position works 3-12hour shifts Monday-Friday nights from 7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m. and 3 holidays per year. A caregiver who excels in this role will: Complete Emergency Department Assessment Data Base upon patient arrival, inclusive of psychosocial, educational and age specific needs of patient/family. Complete ongoing assessments according to departmental/unit policies and recognize significant changes in patient condition. Initiate an individualized plan of care based on assessment of patient needs and Emergency Department standards of care. Include plan for appropriate teaching for patient/family.
