Broiler Technician (Poultry)

Job Description Shift 1st Shift Description Responsible for overseeing broiler farms as a representative of Koch Foods to contracted growers. Monitor house conditions, bird welfare, provide technical assistance and recommend condition improvements, grower performance, and cost reductions. Act as a liaison between Company and contract growers providing technical advice to growers regarding Company expectations. This position requires a highly skilled electrician with strong technical knowledge, leadership abilities, and a commitment to quality workmanship. Essential Responsibilities · Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and equipment · Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical drawings · Install conduit, wiring, panels, switchgear, lighting, and electrical devices · Test electrical systems and identify issues using appropriate diagnostic equipment · Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building codes · Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, and other trades to maintain project schedules · Maintain accurate documentation of work completed and materials used · Mentor apprentices and less experienced electricians · Follow all OSHA regulations and company safety policies · Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications Required · Valid Journeyman Electrician License (as required by state or local regulations) · 5–10 years of electrical experience in commercial, multi-family, or residential construction · Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) · Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics · Experience with electrical troubleshooting and repairs · Strong problem-solving and communication skills · Ability to work independently and as part of a team · Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record · Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on ladders, lifts, and in varying weather conditions Preferred · OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification · Experience supervising apprentices or small crews Working with our Company: George McKenna Electrical Contractors (GME) has been serving commercial customers throughout the Mid-Atlantic region since 1981.
