Procurement Specialist
Procurement & Operations Specialist Location: West Melbourne, FL Position Summary The Procurement & Operations Specialist is responsible for managing spend related to materials and services that support purchasing, operations, and production activities. This role oversees supplier sourcing, purchasing, inventory coordination, and logistics for indirect materials, services, fixed assets, tooling, and select production-related items. The position works cross-functionally with engineering, operations, warehouse, and logistics teams to ensure materials and services are delivered on time, at competitive cost, and in accordance with quality and performance standards. This role also supports operational efficiency, inventory control, and production goals. Key Responsibilities Create and manage purchase orders, revisions, and documentation for materials, services, and tooling Source suppliers and evaluate quotations; negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules Analyze supplier performance based on cost, quality, and delivery metrics Monitor market trends, pricing, and manufacturing methods to support sourcing decisions Coordinate with suppliers on capacity, lead times, logistics, and inventory management Partner with engineering and quality teams to support product changes and quality initiatives Collaborate with operations to resolve material shortages and support production schedules Assist with warehouse and logistics coordination to ensure timely receipt and movement of goods Help resolve delivery issues impacting on-time production and inventory flow Support planning, scheduling, and inventory control activities Perform additional duties as assigned Knowledge & Skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and ERP systems Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills High attention to detail with strong organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Comfortable working independently and in team-based environments Strong time management and confidentiality practices Qualifications Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or a related field with 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment OR Associate’s degree in a related field with 5 years of relevant experience Working Conditions & Physical Requirements Primarily office-based with regular interaction in warehouse and production environments May require standing, walking, lifting, reaching, kneeling, crouching, and operating office equipment Ability to use a computer and standard office tools Occasional travel between buildings or facilities Limited overnight travel may be required for supplier support Kavaliro provides Equal Employment Opportunities to all employees and applicants.
