Facility Address: 1501 San Pedro Dr. SE, Albuquerque NM 87108 Hem/Onc Physician - RESPONSIBILITIES (listed are included but not limited to) The Hematology/Oncology Physician shall be responsible for providing Hematology/Oncology care, including, but not limited to: Diagnosis, evaluation, and management of various disease conditions related to Hematological and Oncological diseases or coagulopathies. Performance of clinical procedures such as bone marrow biopsies with microscopic evaluation, prescription of chemotherapy and other cancer agents, and other duties as assigned, within the latest standards of evidence-based practice. Provide consultative services at the patient's bedside if the patient is not ambulatory and, in the clinic, setting if the patient is able to report to the outpatient clinic. Be on-call to evaluate and treat Hematologist/Oncologist consults, clinic, and chemotherapy patients. Extensive inpatient and outpatient teaching of medical students and medical residents is required. Provide inpatient and outpatient teaching of medical students and medical residents required. Provide discharge education and follow-up instructions that are coordinated with the next care setting for all Hematology/Oncology clinical patients. QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS Must be board certified OR board eligible by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) in Hematology/Oncology.
