Shift: Full-time - Nights Job Summary: The Oncology RN delivers compassionate, patient-centered care using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate treatment. This role provides both direct and indirect care within the Oncology Unit and serves as a resource for new or less experienced nurses. The RN prioritizes patient needs based on physical and psychosocial status and is prepared to support patients and families through complex issues including cancer pain management, end-of-life care, and altered body image. Collection and interpretation of diagnostic data, coupled with clinical decision making, with the goal of promoting and restoring patients’ health. Continuous monitoring of the patient's condition Liaise with members of other emergency services, such as the police, fire departments, Quick Response Units and other ambulance services to ensure the appropriate patient care Requirements Experience: 2 years of practical experience in Emergency Medical Services is preferred Education: High school graduate, GED, or equivalent Successful completion of a Paramedic course or equivalent is required. Description Summary: Provides direct and indirect services to the GI patient under the supervision of the professional nurse and performs tasks as necessary for the efficient and effective functioning of the GI room, as well as the delivery of quality of care. Preferred previous experience working in the Operating Room or Endoscopy Unit preferred. Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications BLS required. SGNA Certification within 6 months of hire required.
