The Orthopedic Surgeon will provide direct patient care in outpatient clinics, inpatient settings, the operating room, the Emergency department, and other locations as deemed necessary by the Chief of Surgery or Facility leadership. Responsibilities Include: Veteran-Centered Care: Deliver comprehensive orthopedic surgical services with an emphasis on health maintenance, disease prevention, patient education, and management of musculoskeletal conditions. Promote shared decision-making with veterans and their families to achieve optimal health outcomes. Clinical Excellence: Perform orthopedic surgeries, including joint replacements, fracture management, and arthroscopic procedures. Manage preoperative and postoperative care for orthopedic patients. Conduct outpatient orthopedic clinics and provide inpatient consultations as needed. Quality Improvement: Participate in continuous quality improvement projects to enhance the delivery of care. Utilize various quality measurement tools to monitor and improve clinical performance and patient outcomes. Clinical Leadership: Serve as a mentor and role model for other healthcare providers within the orthopedic team.
