SUMMARY Bering Dynamic Solutions, LLC, a company within the BSNC family , is currently seeking a qualified Linux and Network Administration Support for a contract in the Wahington DC area (Silver Spring, MD). Wage/Salary Range: $67-80K This contract works for an agency that operates approximately 285 desktop/laptops, a mix of 90 physical and virtual Linux servers (i.e., development, testing, and production environments), 25 physical and virtual Windows servers, storage devices, and a mix of network devices. The agency operates a Linux server farm located in the cloud in AWS and hosts more than 60 scientific, oceanographic, and geospatial applications, which provide real-time scientific, oceanographic, and geospatial information to warn of pending storms and storm surge and support marine navigation. In addition, a real-time Continuity of Operations (COOP) infrastructure is located in the cloud via AWS, with the capacity for providing a rolling three days of real-time data without a database structure, and the potential of becoming a hot or warm site. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Maintain CO-OPS IT services to support the Center’s four locations, including Silver Spring, MD; Chesapeake, VA; Seattle, WA and Pensacola, FL as well as in the cloud (Amazon Web Services). The CO-OPS operate approximately 285 desktop/laptops/field laptops, a mix of 90 physical and virtual Linux servers (i.e., development, testing, and production environments), 25 physical and virtual Windows servers, storage devices, and a mix of network devices. The CO-OPS operate a Linux server farm located in the cloud in AWS and hosts more than 60 scientific, oceanographic, and geospatial applications, which provide real-time scientific, oceanographic, and geospatial information to warn of pending storms and storm surge and support marine navigation. In addition, a real-time Continuity of Operations (COOP) infrastructure is located in the AWS cloud-west, with the capacity for providing a rolling three days of real-time data without a database structure, and the potential of becoming a hot or warm site. These applications run on either Linux-based platforms or Windows-based platforms within a multi-layered, secure campus network, with external interfaces for public- Provide technical services to CO-OPS to maintain performance, capacities, and security of the IT infrastructure as contained in the Government computer operational environment and cloud environment and ensure that infrastructure performance standards contained in the performance requirements are maintained for all operational capabilities. Perform administration activities to ensure performance standards and criteria are met. Operate, maintain, monitor, and manage all IT infrastructure and cloud services for CO-OPS consisting of local area network/wide area network (LAN/WAN) network equipment, server and storage infrastructure, VMware ESX platforms, Service Now, AWS Cloud services, and Linux systems. Provide database administration support for CO-OPS databases. Monitor the critical shared resources (servers, networks, applications) that impact critical functions or large numbers of end users. The Contractor shall monitor the impact on the system of all applications (user and enterprise). Incidents are reported through JIRA Helpdesk System. The Contractor has responsibility for monitoring the entire system and direct support of the Development, Test, and Production environments, and enterprise applications. User application incidents may be forwarded to a separate Contractor through the help desk. Conduct infrastructure installation and configuration for new servers (physical and virtual). Perform end user enterprise device configuration and management. Perform system resets. Make device configuration changes. Perform office relocations. • Provides asset management support to property custodians and/or serves as a property contact Maintain LAN configuration documents to record the configuration of LAN connected equipment (as applicable). • Maintain server for proper operation and optimum performance as well as security compliance. • Conduct outage and failure analysis and implement Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) Report to correct or eliminate root‐cause problems. Schedule data backup operations including cloud archiving capabilities. This includes end user share drives. Analyze system log and server performance and usage reports for trends, operational anomalies, and solutions to systemic problems. Maximize effectiveness of security controls by enforcing identification, authentication, access controls, integrity, and consistency processes to verify protection of critical assets. Support end-users through the JIRA Help Desk system. Document and update all SOPs that are missing or need to be updated. HANCO EMS is the primary 911 Provider for the local community and also provides a wide spectrum of medical transport services. JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES Duty 1: The primary duty of the Paramedic is to deliver pre-hospital and trauma care within the scope of their specific certification level. This obligation includes but is not limited to: Scene survey, Triage and assessment, Extrication, Stabilization, Treatment, Transporting, and Communication Duty 2: No employee shall recommend a specific physician/hospital. All patients will be as transported to the nearest appropriate hospital or medical facility.
