Located right near the Veterans' Memorial Cemetery in Exeter, RI, we teach eligible young people from underserved communities the skills they need to become employable and independent and place them in meaningful jobs or further education. Our center specializes in Culinary Arts, Welding/Construction, Electronics Engineering, and Clinical Medical Assistant training. EMPLOYMENT AT EXETER JOB CORPS Employment at Exeter Job Corps is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check, employment verification, education verification, and motor vehicle record search. POSITION SUMMARY: This individual is responsible for providing students with industry recognized Medical Assistant instruction including taking vital signs, assisting providers with exams and procedures, EKG, phlebotomy, updating electronic health records and more. These skills will lead to the students obtaining full-time jobs, higher education or advanced training. SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday, 8:00am-3:30pm Training day runs from 8:00am-3:30pm. Scheduled 15 minute breaks take place at 9:45am and 2:00pm and there is a 1 hour break for lunch for a total of 6 hours worked. Substitute Instructors are paid a flat rate of $125 per day . JOB DUTIES: Responsible to provide students with training leading to Career Technical Training completion and industry-recognized certifications Provides students with comprehensive and individualized case management that ensures student progress, achievement and completion of the Job Corps program Provides quality Clinical Medical Assistant (CMA) training that leads to student job placement Provides students with job leads and monitors placement of all graduates with the help of the Career Transition Counselors Ensures classroom is well-organized and conducive to student learning Holds students accountable for following Center's uniform dress code and behavioral standards of conduct Produces quality work/assignments in a thorough, timely and accurate manner Plans, prioritizes and organizes assignments to meet established goals and deadlines Understands and applies job knowledge to effectively complete all required job responsibilities Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Valid RI Clinical Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required Experience instructing and/or working with youth groups strongly preferred “Adams and Associates, Inc. abides by the requirements of 41 CFR §§ 60-1.4(a), 60-300.5(a) and 60-741.5(a).
