POSITION SUMMARY: Under the direction of the APLA Health Site Medical Director, provides primary medical care for adults at the Gleicher/Chen Health Center and other APLA Health clinical sites. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: In conjunction with the Chief Medical Officer or Gleicher/Chen Site Medical Director, and other senior management, responsible for full compliance with FQHC grant requirements. · Provides medical services at the Gleicher/Chen Health Center and other Los Angeles APLA Health clinical sites as assigned. · May be required to work past 5PM and some work on Saturdays may be required in the future. Participates in the planning, coordination and evaluation of all medical activities at Gleicher/Chen Health Center. Works in collaboration with the APLA Health Nursing Supervisor/Chief Nursing Officer, Chief Medical Officer, QM department, and other clinical staff to develop, establish, optimize and implement clinical protocols and procedures and quality assurance/improvement plans. Delivers primary care medical services, including, but not limited to, histories and physical exams, chronic and acute disease management, preventive health, and communicable diseases screenings, etc. Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient’s clinical problems and health care needs. Records physical findings, and formulates prognoses, based on patient’s condition. Establishes treatment plans, administers, furnishes, or recommends medications. Adheres to all APLA policies and protocols, including clinical guidelines for common conditions; and follows protocols for proper documentation in accordance with the medical director and the APLA quality management and compliance department. Ensure timely completion of charting lab reviews and medication refills within 48 hours of the visit. Conduct medical visits for at least 16 patients per full clinic day. Investigates new medical procedures and techniques. Participates in the quality assurance plan that includes the provider peer review program, documentation of quality indicators and sound program assessment methodologies. Assures the integrity of electronic medical records in accordance with state and federal laws governing the creation, retention, and destruction of medical records related to client care. On-call (by phone only) duties are required. Admin time will be 10% of total hours worked per week, rounded to the nearest 20 min. A full-time provider (40 hrs.) will get 4 hrs. of admin time. One working 3 days/week (24 hours) will get 2.4 hours, which rounds to 2 hours 20 min. Work hours beyond clinic hours may be required to complete tasks and documentation. This is a critical role within the well-respected manufacturing group and requires a detailed mind set, a thorough understanding of the impact of machining a quality part and commitment to do whatever it takes to get the job done. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Strive towards a culture of proactive safety. Start to finish set-up and prove out of machined components to receive first piece acceptance while meeting required time constraints. Operate CNC milling machines and perform in process inspection on production jobs. Works from drawings, blueprints, job layouts, or other written specifications, determines feeds, speeds, tooling and operational sequences. Set up and inspect first article part on any proven program and turn it in for Quality Assurance verification at an 80% approval rate. Change cutting tools and location of work pieces during machining process. Installs cutting tools and various work holding devices to handle the size of stock to be machined. Operates and adjusts machines until parts produced conform with specifications and time standards. Makes necessary adjustments to set-ups during course of operations to maintain accurate production. Responsible for completeness of secondary set ups. Detects and reports improper operation, faulty equipment, and unusual conditions. Detects and reports significant variances in job standards. Upon completion of “First Article of Verification” trains and monitors work of operator assigned to that machine. Run multiple CNC machines. Performs secondary operations as defined by traveler, using various machines/tools such as files, drill presses and sanders. Assists operators on which dimensions to inspect, (proper tools and gauges). Ensures quality of parts before forwarding them to next operation/process. Responsible for cleanliness of his/her own work area and the general housekeeping of the Company. EXPERIENCE: Minimum 5 years CNC setup experience. Minimum 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment. Mandatory 4th axis machining experience. Prototyping and first piece development with programs experience a plus. Capable of running and setting up all CNC machines in the department. Understands and can modify basic CNC programs. Ability to make basic fixtures and jigs. Ability to use micrometers, calipers, height gauges and dial indicators. Ability to read and interpret blueprints a must.
