The Associate Patient Care Coordinator is responsible for general clinic office functions that support efficient and effective patient care including patient registration, insurance verification, collection of applicable co-insurance and/or co-payments and scheduling of diagnostic and follow-up appointments and answering phones. Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 5:00PM CST Location : 1412 May St, Ft Worth, TX Primary Responsibilities: Greets patients as they arrive and manages wait time Complete check-in and check-out tasks to include insurance verification, complete pre-authorizations and/or precertification of procedures, and copy required documents Collects co-payments, co-insurance, and deductibles and issues receipts Manages cashier box and daily deposits according to company policies Processes walk-in patients and visitors Answers phones and schedules appointments Answer telephone calls, re-direct calls as appropriate, assist callers with questions or concerns, and take messages as needed Manages medical records (maintains, files/scans, prepares for schedule) Ensures all correspondence is scanned and/or filed, processes requests for medical records release and maintains appropriate logs, etc. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees, and the public Performs all other related duties as assigned What are the reasons to consider working for UnitedHealth Group? Required Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED 1 years of customer service experience with strong communication skills both in person and via phone Intermediate level of proficiency in PC software computer skills such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and other departmental specific programs/applications Preferred Qualifications: 1 years of experience in a medical office or medical environment Previous experience with medical insurance Prior experience with EMR computer applications Working knowledge of medical terminology Working knowledge of general office procedures Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). As the Registered Nurse Case Manager, you will assume full nursing responsibility for the delivery of the Plan of Care for each hospice patient. Continuously evaluating personal and professional performance and making necessary changes to increase productivity and quality of care delivered. You'll also develop the patient's Plan of care in collaboration with other professionals and implement treatment strategies based on scientific nursing theory that promotes physical, psychosocial, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Familiar with the concepts and needs of patients/families who are facing death and dying. Primary Responsibilities: Makes the initial nursing evaluation in determining eligibility for hospice services during visit within forty-eight (48) hours of referral Identifies the patient's/family's physical, psychosocial, and environmental needs and re-assesses as needed, no less than every fifteen (15) days Initiates and coordinates the plan of care Documents problems, appropriate goals, interventions, and patient/family response to hospice care Collaborates with the patient/family, attending physician and other members of the IDG in providing patient and family care daily Instructs and supervises the patient/family in self-care techniques when appropriate Maintains accurate and relevant clinical notes regarding the patient's condition Ability to function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the client You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.
