This role may also lead others in related tasks as needed. The ideal candidate will confidently provide electrical services, including identifying repair and replacement needs; installing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading electrical equipment; and supporting other skilled trades. Responsibilities include: Independently perform a wide range of facilities and systems maintenance tasks and serve as a back-up to other craft workers on complex assignments. Analyze system operations, troubleshoot malfunctions, and take corrective actions. Assist with installation and repair of piping/tubing; wire single and three-phase motors (single & two-speed); run conduit; and pull wiring to machinery, motors, and equipment. Install and rebuild pumps, motors, air compressors, heat exchangers; replace bearings and seals; repair piping, valves, filters, hot water systems, and associated controls. Inspect, repair, or replace valves, motors, controls, switches, gauges, wiring, fans, pumps, compressors, condensers, and other system components. Low-voltage experience is a plus. Document all work in the CMMS system and comply with company safety and risk-management policies. Report all accidents/injuries promptly and participate in safety meetings, training, and hazard assessments. Apply OSHA and local safety requirements to all assigned work. Attend designated training programs (classroom or virtual). Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned. Shared Responsibilities: Maintain accurate electronic work order records. Research, track, and inventory equipment parts and supplies. Respond to routine and emergency repair/service calls. Assist in training other team members in facilities maintenance. Working across Independent Living, Lasell Studios (Supportive Living), and Lasell House (Skilled Nursing), the Physical Therapist identifies the need for and makes referrals to other disciplines to address the comprehensive needs of residents. The Physical Therapist implements individualized therapy programs designed to restore, reinforce, and enhance performance, and educates residents and caregivers in those skills and functions essential for promoting independence and productivity, in order to diminish or correct pathology and to promote and maintain health. RESPONSIBILITIES Evaluation and plan of care Screen, examine, and evaluate residents — including history, systems review, and application of appropriate tests and measures. Synthesize information and interpret examination findings to establish a diagnosis, identify impairments, determine the predicted level of improvement and the time required to achieve it, and identify precautions and contraindications. Design and document a plan of care, including appropriate treatment goals and methods, in collaboration with the resident and caregivers. Perform routine re-examination as needed or required to modify or progress the plan of treatment. Adapt programs and plans of care according to the changing needs of individual residents. Treatment and interventions Implement the physical therapy treatment plan, including therapeutic exercise (aerobic capacity conditioning, balance coordination, agility training, body mechanics and postural stabilization, flexibility exercises, gait and locomotion training, neuromotor development training, relaxation, strength, power, and endurance training). Provide functional training, manual therapy, airway clearance techniques, integumentary repair and protection, and use of electrotherapeutic, physical agent, and mechanical modalities. Design, fabricate, fit, and/or apply adaptive devices and train residents in their use, including orthotics and prosthetics. Select appropriate activities suited to the individual's physical and mental capacity, intelligence level, and interests. Instruct residents in the skills and techniques required for participation in mobility activities, and evaluate resident progress, attitudes, and behavior as related to rehabilitative potential. Lead or co-lead community-based wellness classes, group exercise programs, and educational sessions for residents — including falls prevention, balance and gait training, post-surgical recovery cohorts, and mobility education. Team collaboration Attend and contribute to resident care meetings, team conferences, and other related interdisciplinary meetings. Make referrals to other disciplines and external agencies to address the comprehensive needs of residents. Consult with other members of the rehabilitation and care teams to select the most appropriate therapeutic regimen consistent with the needs and capabilities of each resident. Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants, temporary licensees, students, and support personnel in accordance with state licensure requirements and professional standards. Documentation and operations Ensure the effective and efficient delivery of rehabilitation services, including adherence to the established plan of care, department schedule, and resident schedule. Complete timely and accurate documentation and record-keeping for all services consistent with department standards and regulatory requirements. Order supplies and equipment as necessary. Clean, maintain, identify, and report the need for repair of equipment as necessary. Promote a safe environment and support the elimination of fire and safety hazards. Compliance and resident service Comply with applicable legal requirements, standards, and Lasell Village policies and procedures, including those addressing HIPAA and the Federal False Claims Act. Participate in required orientation, training, and quality improvement activities. Promptly report concerns and suspected incidences of non-compliance to a supervisor. Our patient population includes a myriad of neurological disorders including: stroke, intracranial hemorrhage, tumor, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, cerebrovascular, neurodegenerative, neuromuscular and seizure disorders. The Neurosciences engage the most advanced technologies including tele robot medicine, continuous EEG monitoring, capability for complex neuro interventional procedures as well as intracranial pressure and oxygen monitoring. On the job training course. Upon successful completion, work four 10 hr shifts, rotating days/evenings/weekends/holidays. Stroke call is via telemedicine and can be taken from outside of the hospital. 4 stroke calls per month. No in house shifts past midnight. . An annual CME stipend is offered. 100% supervision by the MD - close to zero liability from malpractice as a physician assistant because of this close working relationship with the MD.
