About the Clinician's Workday Coverage is needed for three EDs, with the provider schedule consisting of backup for hospital inpatient call, including consults, rounding, and stroke alerts, no outpatient practice assistance required. Support is provided by nursing staff and techs. Providers will cover 5-10 hospital shifts, with the first 12 hours as a hospitalist shift (7am-7pm) and the second 12 hours on call (7pm-7am) for stroke alerts. Systems used include Meditech, Patient Keeper, and eCW. Coverage is needed for general neurology and stroke alerts at Orange Park, with licensure required and orientation the day before the first shift. Daily patient volume averages about 12 per doc, with lists occasionally in the 20s. Basic Life Support certification and Board Certification are required. Stroke alerts are usually in person during working hours and via telemedicine off-hours; nights are generally quiet. Ongoing coverage dates begin January 4, 2026, and more dates will follow.
