Ultimately, this position is essential in fostering a professional and compassionate environment that upholds the standards of healthcare service delivery.\n \n \nWe are excited to announce that we are looking for a Full Time, Medical Receptionist at Digestive Healthcare Associates in Great Neck, NY. \n \n \n High school diploma or equivalent. \n Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare environment preferred but not required. \n Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office and appointment scheduling software. \n Strong communication and interpersonal skills. \n Ability to handle sensitive patient information with discretion and maintain confidentiality. \n \n Preferred Qualifications: \n \n \n Experience using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, or similar platforms. \n Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare billing procedures. \n Bilingual abilities, particularly in Spanish or other commonly spoken languages in the United States. \n Certification as a Medical Receptionist or in Medical Office Administration. \n Demonstrated ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. \n \n Responsibilities: \n \n \n Greet and check in patients upon arrival, verifying personal and insurance information accurately. \n Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments using electronic health record (EHR) systems. \n Answer incoming phone calls, respond to patient inquiries, and direct calls to appropriate medical personnel. \n Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. \n Collect co-payments and process billing information as required. \n Coordinate with medical staff to manage patient flow and minimize wait times. \n Prepare and distribute patient forms and informational materials. \n Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and managing correspondence. \n \n Skills: \n \n \nThe required skills enable the Medical Receptionist 1 to effectively manage patient interactions and administrative duties, ensuring smooth front desk operations.
