Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry \n Discipline: RN \n Start Date: 10/05/2026 \n Duration: 13 weeks \n 36 hours per week \n Shift: 12 hours, days \n Employment Type: Travel \n \n Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Medical-Surgical/Telemetry – Lubbock, TX 79410\n Start Date: October 5, 2026 \n Location: Lubbock, Texas \n Schedule: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:00). Every other weekend required. 91-day assignment with 40 hours of orientation. Patient ratio of 1:5-6. Flexibility to float between units as needed. Highlights: \n \n Work at a 379-bed short-term acute care facility with Level II Trauma Center designation \n Gain experience in general medical-surgical/telemetry with exposure to multiple acute care units \n Collaborative interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams \n Epic charting system utilized throughout the facility \n Free employee parking available on-site \n Block scheduling approved but not required for flexibility \n Requirements: \n \n Active Compact RN license (must be in hand at time of submission) \n Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience required \n Previous travel nursing experience required (at least one prior contract) \n Epic charting system experience required \n Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS \n Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, IV therapy, central line management, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, blood product administration, wound care, and high-flow nasal cannula \n Experience with heparin protocols, IV insulin protocols, PCA pumps, and rapid response/code teams \n Willingness to float to other acute care departments within the facility \n Two professional references covering one year within the last three years \n Commitment to work 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) \n Why Join Us? \n This travel nursing opportunity offers the chance to work in a well-established acute care environment with comprehensive support services and a collaborative team.
