Required Qualifications: \n \n Completion of an accredited Ultrasound Technology program \n Minimum of one year of experience as a High-Risk OB Ultrasound Tech \n Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC) \n Valid Ultrasound license in compliance with state regulations \n Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position \n Preferred Qualifications: \n \n Current Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Certification (ARDMS) \n Current ARRT Certification in Sonography \n Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position \n Summary: \n The High-Risk OB Ultrasound Tech specializes in performing invasive and non-invasive obstetric and gynecological ultrasound procedures to assist in diagnosing and managing high-risk pregnancies. They ensure accurate, high-quality imaging, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and provide detailed findings to consulting providers while prioritizing patient education, safety, and comfort. Essential Work Functions: \n \n Assist in implementing and adjusting patient treatment plans under the guidance of physicians or RRTs \n Examine and interview patients with breathing and/or cardiopulmonary disorders \n Perform diagnostics tests, such as measuring lung capacity or collecting blood/sputum samples \n Administer respiratory treatments, including aerosol medications and oxygen therapy \n Set up and monitor equipment to ensure the patient is receiving the correct amount of oxygen at the correct rate \n Observe and record patient status and progress \n Educate patients and/or family members on how to properly take medication and use equipment \n Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of CRT practice \n Required Essential Skills: \n \n Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills \n The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language \n Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills \n Physical Abilities - Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bend \n Interpersonal Skills - Must be able to work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalism \n Technical/Motor Skills - Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment \n Mental Requirements - Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure. Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working without assistance from other personnel.
