Assists the Electrophysiology team in the preparation, performance and completion of all procedures performed including ablations and cardiac implants. Assures overall quality control and quality assurance standards are achieved. Assures overall patient comfort while achieving technical standards during procedures within the electrophysiology lab. Qualifications: Required: Active, valid ARRT and NJ DEP license. Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) required. Minimum of 2 years radiology experience preferred. Procedural Interventional Radiology experience preferred. Preferred: Minimum of 2 years radiology experience preferred. Procedural Interventional Radiology experience preferred. Job Overview: Provides therapeutic, supportive and diagnostic respiratory services and care to all CMC patients. Qualifications: Graduate of AMA approved Respiratory Therapy program Registered Respiratory Therapist Current New Jersey Respiratory Care License Maintains required BLS Heart Saver/Health Care Provider course completion status. ACLS Certification Scheduling Requirements: Night Shift Full-Time (36 hours per week) Essential Functions: Administers respiratory care as ordered by the physician and documents all required information in the patient record. Assists during emergency bronchoscopy procedures Intubates (if certified) and manually ventilates patients during emergency situations Extubates patients as ordered by physicians Performs and interrupts weaning parameters and simple spirometry (bedside) as ordered Performs arterial puncture, analysis, and reporting of sample results. Interprets results relative to acid-base balance and ventilatory status Performs daily preventive maintenance and quality control for arterial blood analyzers and a co-oximeter. Provides and maintains the patient's airways (including suctioning and securing endotracheal tubes, tracheostomies, and oral pharyngeal airways) Provides appropriate in-service to patients, family, physicians, nurses, and clinical employees as required Responds to "Code Blue" and performs CPR as required Sets up, operates, monitors, and troubleshoots oxygen delivery devices, pulse oximeters, end-tidal C02 monitors, and ventilators.
