Key Responsibilities\n \n Conducting comprehensive preliminary interviews with clients and documenting case histories from initial consultations through treatment completion. \n Evaluating clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health to inform effective therapeutic interventions. \n Developing tailored intervention and recovery plans that address the unique needs of individuals, couples, families, and group therapy participants. \n Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all participants. \n Monitoring client progress throughout treatment, making necessary adjustments to strategies to optimize outcomes. \n Collaborating with psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers to coordinate comprehensive intervention plans for clients receiving higher levels of care. \n Following up with other healthcare providers regarding clients admitted to the hospital to ensure continuity of care. \n Identifying potential barriers to recovery and implementing strategies to prevent regression. \n Providing guidance and support to family members and primary caregivers on managing mental health challenges. \n Patient Population / Client Focus\n As a licensed mental health counselor at Healthy Wave Counseling Center, you will work with a diverse client population, ranging from adolescents to adults facing various challenges including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, and substance use disorders. Understanding the unique cultural and personal backgrounds of our clients is critical for delivering effective therapeutic interventions. Qualifications\n \n A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. \n Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in the state of Nevada. \n A passing score on relevant examinations such as the NCE and/or the NCMHCE. \n Substantial prior experience in a mental health counselor role, demonstrating success in client care. \n Proficiency in using electronic health record systems like AVATAR for effective case management. \n Experience working with mental health issues and co-occurring disorders related to physical health and substance abuse. \n Familiarity with the best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA). \n Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and empathetically. \n Strong interpersonal skills and a deep-seated empathy that allows for genuine connections with clients. \n Preferred Experience\n \n Experience in a community mental health setting. \n Knowledge of family systems therapy and crisis intervention techniques. \n Understanding of trauma-informed care principles. \n Experience in providing telehealth services. \n Compensation and Benefits\n This position offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 annually, reflecting your experience and expertise in the field.
