Vassar Brothers Medical Center, located 75 minutes north of New York City, has an excellent opportunity for a regional OBGYN Chair of the women’s health service line. This is a unique opportunity to be a clinical leader in a growing health system that has an established center of excellence in Women’s Health. The Vassar OBGYN Chair will lead a group of obstetricians and gynecologists and work collaboratively with system leadership, physicians, advanced practice clinicians, nurses, anesthesiologists, oncologists, and neonatology to ensure the highest quality, evidence-based care. This position will be 0.6 clinical as a women’s health physician in the Nuvance-Northwell employed practice, and 0.4 administrative as the Vassar OBGYN Chair. This role will report to the System Women’s Health Chair and help oversee the Nuvance-Northwell employed OBGYN physicians in the Vassar region. The Division of OB/GYN has offices located in Poughkeepsie, Fishkill and Highland, NY. The practice admits exclusively to Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie. Our busy Labor and Delivery Unit sees about 2,500 babies born each year. We have a level III NICU staffed by neonatologists, as well as an excellent perinatology program. Our growing gynecology practice offers surgery at Vassar Brothers Medical Center and the Fishkill Ambulatory Surgical Center. The Women’s Health service line also includes a gynecologic oncology practice at the Dyson Cancer Center and a strong relationship with the oncology service line. The ideal candidate will have the following experience and qualifications: At least 5 years of practice, with preferred experience as an accomplished member of a leadership team of a large, community teaching hospital and/or academic medical center. Interest in working with a collaborative, multidisciplinary team. Experience working with nursing leadership and advanced practice clinicians preferred.
