Key Responsibilities\n \n Conduct thorough, culturally sensitive mental health assessments to evaluate patients' needs and craft individualized treatment plans that are respectful of their backgrounds. \n Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions in individual, family, and group settings, ensuring that each session is tailored to address the unique challenges faced by patients. \n Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care. \n Provide crisis intervention as needed, employing effective strategies to assist patients experiencing acute distress or emergency situations. \n Educate patients and their families about mental health issues, offering insights into available treatments and community resources that may further assist in their recovery journey. \n Maintain thorough documentation that complies with legal and ethical standards, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy in patient records. \n Engage in regular case conferences and team meetings to discuss patient progress, share insights, and enhance cross-disciplinary collaboration. \n Stay current with emerging research and best practices in mental health therapy, particularly in approaches that respect cultural nuances in treatment. \n Patient Population / Client Focus\n The clientele at Hope Balance Wellness Center encompasses a broad spectrum of individuals, including those from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds, LGBTQ individuals, and non-native English speakers. We aim to meet the unique needs of each patient, allowing them to express their concerns within a safe, non-judgmental environment. Your cultural competence and therapeutic expertise will be vital in addressing the complex mental health needs of this population. Qualifications\n \n A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. \n A current, valid license as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in New York. \n Strong foundational knowledge of various mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment methods. \n Experience in providing therapy that is responsive to patients’ cultural and personal backgrounds in both individual and group therapy formats. \n Demonstrated crisis intervention skills, maintaining composure and professionalism in high-pressure scenarios. \n Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, capable of establishing rapport and trust with a diverse range of clients. \n Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and other clinical tools. \n A commitment to adhering to professional ethical standards and maintaining client confidentiality. \n A collaborative mindset, enthusiastic about contributing to a multidisciplinary team approach. \n Preferred Experience\n Experience working with marginalized communities, including but not limited to ethnic minorities and the LGBTQ population, is highly desirable. Familiarity with multicultural counseling approaches and trauma-informed care principles will enhance your effectiveness in this role. Compensation and Benefits\n We offer a competitive salary range of USD 70,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with your experience and qualifications.
